The Mountain View Los Altos High School District is located in Silicon Valley, serving the communities of Mountain View, Los Alos, and Los Altos Hills. In addition to its two comprehensive high schools, Los Altos High School and Mountain View High School, MVLA is home to several innovative education programs including an alternative high school and an adult education center.
Mountain View Los Altos High School District (MVLA) had been using a legacy system for classroom screen sharing that was causing frustration for teachers and a significant number of help desk tickets which taxed the IT support staff. Bob Fishtrom, MVLA’s director of information technology went in search of an alternative system that would provide teachers with the flexibility and functionality to teach from anywhere in the classroom and promote more active student engagement. He also wanted to avoid the technical problems and unreliability of the previous system.
With Vivi, Fishtrom found a solution for all their classrooms. Said Fishtrom, “Vivi can really help make everything come alive.” Not only did Vivi meet the classroom needs of teachers and students, but it also met Fishtrom’s core belief that any tool used in the district works with existing services and is easy to use.
