Customer Success Manager/Teacher Ambassador

With features crowd-sourced directly from teachers, Vivi is designed to be the invisible backbone of the teacher and student learning conversation. We’re passionate about delivering solutions to learning environments that have real impact and improve educational outcomes.

As a result of accelerated customer acquisition in Australia, we’re looking for one of Melbourne’s first-class educators to join our sales team to proactively manage and grow our K-12 customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher looking for a career move outside of teaching, but still wanting to experience the satisfaction that comes from sharing knowledge and ideas with other educators.


The Role:

With your keen educator focus, we know you’ll fit right in with our Customer First mentality. As the CSM, you will lead our education clients through the transition from a new customer to a long-term Vivi evangelist, by supporting staff in their adoption of Vivi. You will be their trusted advisor and advocate, going into schools all around the country to share classroom application ideas and links to best practice with Vivi teacher customers.

The CSM will participate in efforts to grow the overall adoption of Vivi within our client organisations while protecting our growing market presence and retention. We believe our most powerful sales tools are our customer references, and the primary focus of the CSM is to have Aussie educators love all things Vivi, want to share their success stories with others and never want to leave the Vivi family!


You will:

  • Identify success criteria and ensure that internal activities are aligned to help each customer achieve their goals
  • Work closely with the technical support team to ensure each customer has a world-class experience
  • Train customers to ensure they are using Vivi effectively
  • Continuously monitor the health of each customer, conduct regular business reviews and then execute tailored account plans to drive better outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for proactively extracting word of mouth referrals, case studies, and testimonials from Vivi evangelists
  • Be a trusted advisor and know when to suggest best practices, defuse tensions and immediately address issues
  • Maintain a revenue base by managing account retention and renewal rates
  • Advocate feature adoption by explaining the value of new modules and releases to existing customers
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and expansion among your portfolio of managed customers
  • Achieve and exceed your annual sales quotas
  • Maintain details of all customer interactions in our CRM tool

You must have:

  • Past experience in a teaching or training position
  • Clear and articulate communication skills; you know how to empathise via phone and in-person
  • Natural organisational skills that allow you to handle pressure and volume with a positive attitude
  • A natural inclination towards problem-solving
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer training and to maintain a healthy relationship with our clients (travel 25% - 35% of your time)

Highly valued in addition to the above:

  • Previous sales or account management experience, particularly into the education sector
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales processes
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to work to targets
